Lucia Dinh from Utterly Engaged contacted me recently to feature some of my lifestyle photos in their e-zine. She felt I took a fresh approach towards my photography and how I directed my shoots. I’m actually really happy that she pointed it out. We all have visuals in our head regarding how we want to approach a project. I personally wanted to take my style up a notch and do different things in the wedding arena. For me, it was merging different worlds of photography together and creating something original, but still had that authenticity between 2 people. For a while I was wondering if I was executing my vision at all. With the support of all my friends and fams, people from mywedding.com in the previous post, and the awesome people at Utterly Engaged, I know my work is taking steps forward.
What I think is most important in the journey, especially in the photography one, is that it takes time. Don’t compare yourself to everyone. It’ll get you nowhere but in a puddle of self doubt. Focus on growing, and you’ll get to where you want to be.
