I met Justine and Tommy on one of my trips out to HI this year, and they are two of the coolest people on the island. I was initially going to do something more on the high-fashion side with Justine, and then found out here fiance was a model out there too! Light Bulb! So I ended doing a mash-up campaign of love/hawaii/surf culture. The two of them were a dream to work with, and we were able to pull off an awesome story of images in a short amount of time.

I seriously would love to reside on one of the islands for a year and live the life out there. Maybe I’ll have a license plate of my own one day!

We headed over to Waimanalo and got all of these sweet images around the area.

A friend of mine once asked what I think of when I’m composing and directing. All I chase for is natural looking scenes and moments that all people can relate to. As journalistic as everything looks, a lot of these shots are directed to showcase the fun side of life and bring out the best in people. We really shouldn’t take life so seriously, and that’s what I try to pull of as I look through the viewfinder. So many photographers have inspired and influenced my style. Maybe in the next post, I can showcase all of them and talk about why it’s so important to learn from all types of artists, and not just one person. For me, I enjoy people, love, culture, fashion, and life.

Such a fun shoot! I was able to create imagery that could go towards my stock, wedding, and commercial portfolio. Life is good! These 2 lovebirds are tying the knot next year! Can’t wait!
