+ Persistence +

Ok, so you can stop laughing now guys! Haha! So this was one of my dad’s classic double exposure images that I grew up with. He must of been so excited to shoot all 4 of us and practice what he loves on his kiddos. Now I consider my childhood to be a happy one, but growing up with a photographer as a father was not always easy. We all have pictures like these where we were forced to take photos just because we were all dolled up in fashion. I mean, look at that clean navy blue suit with the red tie. I’m setting trends here!

My father to this day is still a very persistent man when it comes to getting his shot. It might be one of the biggest factors in why I have so much patience. Haha. But seriously, I’m really thankful to have so many images of my childhood. To think I’ve come this far, it’s always cool to go back and reminisce. I think I have to rock this outfit soon again! Thanks Dad for being persistent. Oh, and my point…Get the shot, and whoever you’re doing it for will thank you years down the line.

Adrienne Dawa - That's a snazzy outfit you got on there Ja! You don't look too happy about it. I've always wondered why parents back then dress their kids up to look like little adults because I have a picture that looks like I'm wearing an old ladies outfit. =/August 12, 2009 - 8:35 pm

Megan - Hi Ja, I foudn you through Fred Egan's blog, and I love what I've seen so far! Anyway, my dad was / is a photographer too and I have books and books of my photos as I was growing up. I remember posing and being the test subject soooo many times, but as you get older I do think you can appreciate it. :)August 13, 2009 - 1:35 am
