Every year in May, I get to go back to the school where a lot of my character is rooted from. St.Brendan’s was some of the best times of my life. It’s where I met a lot of my best friends of whom I still consider brothers to this day. It’s where my love of basketball reached new heights when I won MVP in either grade. It’s everything from ethics & morals, to FIRST CRUSHES (I met my wife here), to leadership skills, and academics.
After college, I decided to go back and pitch to my principal and 8th grade teacher that it would be fun if the 8th graders had a memento to take with them after they graduated. This video would display the culture and journey of what it was to be part of this St.Brendan legacy. Plus, they gave me full creative freedom knowing that I was an alumni and would be able to tell a story through an eight grader’s eye.
I feel like I’m 13 everytime I go back, and it’s just a blessing that I can reconnect to the school and to myself at the same time. Congrats Kiddos, and good luck finding yourselves in High School.
